Visiting the countryside of Tuscany was just as serene as the photos make it seem. I had always dreamt of sipping wine and gazing out onto the rolling hills in Italy. And here we were doing just that. We decided to stay at an Air BnB and I'm so glad we did!! It was a room inside a house and while you were there, the family that lived there was there also. That was the first time we had ever stayed somewhere with strangers, but let me tell you, it MADE the trip!! We got to experience first hand the life of a beautiful Italian family. They were so kind and hospitable, their home was out of a magazine, and the FOOD -- my goodness the food. Their house was on acres of land surrounded by vineyards and the greenest hills I've ever seen. They had 2 dogs, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and I'm sure a lot more! Their backyard was lined with gardens full of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. The smells were divine! The town they lived in was called Cerbaia located in the Chianti region. It was a very small town! Ryan and I didn't rent a car because...well...driving in Italy was a bit scary to us haha! But we LOVED being able to walk everywhere we went. The winery we ended up going to while there was the San Michele A Torri Winery, it was about a 45 minutes walk from the house. The grounds were stunning and we got a private tour and tasting of their wines -- INCREDIBLE.

Our stay here was only 2 nights which for us was just perfect! We got one full day of experiencing the countryside in all it's beauty. Memories we will never forget!!
